The very next day I received all emails from "your order was finished" to "your order was shipped" to "your order has arrived". Since it was taking longer than promised 10-15 business days, I got nervous and panicked. It did end up all OK but there was a lack of communication after a very first update that the order will take a week longer because the chat agents can only submit tickets but they don't know anything about the actual order. I received my order on time before my competition but next time I will be careful to order a dress well in advance - especially around Christmas time because there are a lot of sales taking place during those months and probably everyone is extremely overloaded. But the shipment can become affected as well. So, 10-15 business days are ideal but it took me almost full 8 weeks. On the dance floor these dresses look as nice and move as well as the much more expensive dresses. I order with the Venus crystals (not Swarovski) and they sparkle very nicely. For amateur dancers, these dresses are perfect in every way...except one...(sorry to say),..I find the bra cups are flimsy so it's better to just remove them and wear my own bra. It's well made and fits me perfectly. The skirt is generously full, just as shown in the photo. The skirt has three layers: the bottom layer is an opaque, satin-polyester, turquois layer under two over layers, one of sheer turquoise and the top one of sheer black. The bodice is a very dark forest-green which looks black except in the brightest of lights. The crystals are very brilliant. I'm glad I didn't pay extra to have the name-brand crystals since these less expensive ones do the job nicely. I asked the Venus company to leave off certain crystals because I like an understated look, and they did just as I asked. There is a body suit inside with a built-in bra. It fits me nicely; I'm a B cup. The dress arrived on my doorstep in two plastic inner bags inside an outer mailing bag. The bags kept the dress clean and dry but it was VERY wrinkled. The wrinkles did iron out easily. I ordered the dress on Jan 13 and received it on Feb 25, which is OK since my performance is months away. However, I would advise ordering early and checking with customer service if you have a deadline. My only disappointment is that the skirt is more blue than I expected. On my computer monitor it looks greener. Next time I will state the colors, not just assume that I'm seeing them correctly. The warm applique stones clashed with my skin tones and I thought they detracted from, as opposed to complemented, the color of the dress. I contacted the chat agents to explain the situation. They offered sending replacement crystal AB stones for me to switch out myself, or, said I could ship the dress to the NJ alterations center to have the applique stones replaced. I chose to ship it to have the stones replaced. The result was perfect.
